Here are some of the questions I’m asked most frequently. If you have a question that I haven’t answered below, please get in touch via my Contact page and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
£75 per session. Fees are payable via bank transfer on the day of the session.
That depends on you and what you’re bringing to therapy. I offer both short-term work (from around 6 weeks up to a few months, for a specific issue or a difficult period) and longer-term, open-ended therapy. We’ll review together after the first six sessions to see how it feels and what you’d like to do next.
1. Get in touch via the contact page.
2. We have a brief phone call (10–15 minutes) so I can hear a little about what’s bringing you to therapy.
3. If it feels right, we book a free 30-minute introductory session, where we talk in more depth and you get a sense of what working together would feel like.
4. If we’re both a good fit, we begin weekly sessions.
No — I work one-to-one with individual adults (18+).
Sessions are one hour long. This allows us to slow down and enjoy a little extra time and space to explore whatever it is you are with. We will meet at the same day and time each week.
Continuity is really important in psychotherapy and so I only offer weekly sessions. Without that weekly continuity, it takes more time to build trust, develop the therapeutic relationship and enter a space of self-reflection.
Mindfulness-Based Core Process Psychotherapy can be especially helpful for you if you are experiencing:
– Anxiety or chronic stress
– Depression
– Trauma (particularly abuse or neglect in childhood)
– Difficult relationship patterns
– Low self-esteem or self-criticism
– A sense of being disconnected from your emotions or body.
After our first 6 sessions we will review how things are progressing. It is still early days at this stage in therapy but we should both have some sense of whether or not we can work together and if you feel you are able to feel relatively safe and comfortable with me. At this point you can decide to continue with therapy or leave.
